This is going to bring the noob out in me – When working with MIDI files, I want to get up-close and granular. I want to hypothetically pack a stupid number of ‘ticks’ in the 3rd measure. Logic tells me that if I crank the Beat Selector up to 1/64, I’ll get to enjoy the granularity that I’m looking for. But I have a feeling that this is a one-way street because reselecting 1/4 does not restore the UI to it’s original state. Once you go 64, you don’t go back?

Like I said, I want to dive into the MIDI editor and allow my OCD to run rampant with note placement. When I select a complex MIDI track and it loads into the editor, I haven’t found a way to zoom in. From the image above, the notes are too narrow to simply select. The selector shifts to a resize request state. From this 10,000′ view, the MIDI really isn’t editable. Is there a zoom feature in the editor?
As always, I love SoundBridge. My wife, not so much. Any voicemail that I need to pass on to her gets a cinematic treatment. 🙂
