ParticipantMy VST doesn’t have that. I can’t find anything. If no answer, I will move to another DAW.

Hello,
Go into Preferences > MIDI and enable your MIDI Keyboard in the MIDI Input section.
After that when you load a VST into a MIDI track make sure that track is ARMED and also that its MIDI input is set to “All”.

Participant@modren8music I see nothing in the list its a pure blank page. I have ARMED it, still nothing, I have found a VST which the keyboard can interact with. When I play, it starts doing shortcuts and it doesn’t record, Only sound from the VST.

Hello,
Caps Lock has to be on for the Computer Keyboard to work as a MIDI Keyboard.

ParticipantHello,
I am extremely new to the program and am a Mac user. I was wondering if it’s possible to use my laptop keyboard as a midi. I tried what was stated above, but nothing worked- This reply was modified 1 year, 3 months ago by

ParticipantCaps lock is not the shortcut anymore, what is it now?

Hello the new shortcut is “`” (tilde). It is the key on the keyboard right before the number “1” key.
Also you can enable/disable the virtual keyboard by clicking on the Virtual Keyboard indicator in the Transport Bar.
It is all nicely explained in the in-app tutorial. (Tutorial is opened by pressing “T” on your keyboard or by clicking the “?” button on the transport bar.)
