Midi sound on sound

Is there a way to hear existing midi playback on a track while adding to it? The punch in feature just mutes everything. In Cakewalk there’s the ability to hear whats been previously recorded.

Hello,

If you mean recording MIDI notes on top of already recorded notes, no that is not possible.
It is however possible to listen to a recorded part and using punch-in record right after it. This way you can hear the part previously recorded and record right after it.
When the recording starts you can’t hear the MIDI information that is on the track in the sequencer.
