ParticipantI have a midi track with a single note in it, and I’m trying to do a pitch bend of over 5 semitones. I’ve used the pencil tool in the edit window to change the pitch wheel feature. Instead of doing a smooth pitch bend (a trombone slide effect) it’s just playing individual notes moving down (like running your thumb down a keyboard). That’s not what I’m trying to do. Is there a way to an actual pitch bend in soundbridge?

ParticipantHello,
The pitch bend works properly.
Most probably the problem is in the setting of the synth you are using.
Check this video:

Participant“problem is in the setting of the synth you are using.”
Any ideas on which settings, or suggestion for a free synth that doesn’t do this? I’m using Dexed and Synth1.
Unfortunately the video isn’t super relevant. I can do a short, slow bend like the one in the video just fine. I only get the thumb dragged over keyboard effect when I bend the pitch further and faster.

ParticipantIn the video example the pitch has been pulled down the most it can go.
The setting for the amount of pitch bend differs between synths.
Could you maybe send a screenshot or a video of what it is you are doing so that we could troubleshoot?

ParticipantOk, so apparently soundbridge does the thumb on keyboard effect in the program, but when I export, it sounds the way it should. I was struggling to screen capture for a while, but when I decided to export the test file, the exported version worked. So, problem “solved” (it’s still weird, but usable at least)
