This is so basic that I have literally spent hours trying to figure it out. Truely embarrassing to post about.

I have an audio track that I want to remove the white space from. In Audacity, I select the beginning on the segment, right click & select Split Clip. Now I have 2 segments. I select the end of the segment I want to remove, right click & select Split Clip. Now I have 3 segments. I delete the middle segment and drag the remaining clips together. Perhaps the terminology is tripping me up because they use the word split to divide a track.

I know this is basic functionality & I’m sure I’ve done it before, but a search of the forum, blog, YouTube, and the general internet turns up nothing.

Split & Remove sections of an audio track.

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out and using SoundBridge.

To cut the white space in your audio, select the Cut tool on the transport bar or hit X on your keyboard.

Then use the tool to split your audio block where you need to.

After splitting the audio block, select the selector tool on the transport bar or hit Q on your keyboard.

Use the sector tool to select the part o your audio you want to remove, then delete it by hitting delete on your keyboard.

    Best,
    The SoundBridge team.
